This is a entry for a contest. The theme of the contest was imbalance. When I first thought of "imbalance" I thought about maybe have the bail on oneside, or do somthing with the colors. I still used the color imbalance. I try to stay in a color region of the spectrum when I make my pieces. This piece has some random colors that almost clash, which causes a bit of imbalance to my usuall color palate. However, I had to take it a bit further. Any searches for "imbalance" yielded primarily results that had to do with a chemical imbalance, in the brain. An imbalance is sometimes caused by gaps between the axon and dendrites of the nerves where neurological information is transfered. So I used a picture of the brain to form this pendant. Then I added some negative space, to act as the gaps. I figure if anyone has large holes in the brain they would for sure suffer from some kind of imbalance. Thank you for looking.
Your right- not your usual style- but still all you- and still beautiful!!
I was watching NOVA last night, they followed a family that had four children (between the ages of 18 and 30 something.) All four of these people would walk bent over on their hands- nobody knew why- of course the family was poor and didn't have the money to find out what was really wrong. At first the scientist said they resorted to de-evolution somehow- that something in their brains defected and somehow these 4 people seemed stuck in some prehistoric state of human-hood. Later after a brain scan, they found out that all 4 of them had little or no cerebellum, the part of the brain which helps us to keep balance and coordination. It was interesting to watch, but also heart wrenching, because most of us would have the care from the time we are born- these people didn't and have suffered and been teased and harassed most of their lives because of something they didn't understand.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
